Is it possible to measure deflection angles using the ISM330DHCX inertial module?

Hello! For my development, I need a sensor capable of determining the angle of deviation of the platform from the equilibrium position. Also, this sensor should determine the angle of rotation of the platform. Will the ISM330DHCX inertial module be able to perform this function ?

How long will the accumulated errors not make a serious contribution to the measurement result?

Sincerely Anton.

    Hi Anton,

It probably depends on the accuracy you need. As a general overview about the parameters (angle, frequency...) affecting the accuracy you might see this application note --> https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/an5551-precise-and-accurate-tilt-sensing-in-industrial-applications-stmicroelectronics.pdf

It is usually recommended to periodically calibrate the inclinometer, for example using the tilt library https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/um2277-getting-started-with-motiontl-tilt-measurement-library-in-xcubemems1-expansion-for-stm32cube-stmicroelectronics.pdf
