Is VL53l0X Time of Flight sensor suitable for water level measurement inside a jar?

Hello,

I am using VL53L0X Time-Of Flight sensor module. I want to measure the water level inside a jar. In the literature provided for the sensor we do not any forum. If they are some limitation or if anyone has tried this please tell me the same.
