LIS3DH datasheet - STATUS_REG_AUX description is wrong / unhelpful

Latest datasheet: DocID17530 Rev 2, December 2016, page 33:

Looks like a copy-and-paste error: all the references to "axis" should say "ADC" ?

Also, there is no description of the operation of this register in relation to the ADCs.

In fact, it isn't even specifically stated that this does relate to the ADCs!

    Hi @Andrew Neil​ , please consider the block diagram below: the ADCs are inputs of the device, so they can substitute the MEMS in generating the data output for the 3 axis. So, in the hypothesis that the 3 ADCs are fed and working, the STATUS_REG_AUX detects when an overrun occurs in one of the 3 ADCs, that refers each one to one axis. Are you using the ADCs for a particular reason? Regards

    I think you missed my point!

    The point is that the text in the descriptions should say "ADC1", "ADC2", "ADC3" - not "Axis 1", "Axis 2" and "Axis 3".

    The use of the word "Axis" is confusing & misleading.

    Especially since the ADC Data registers do say "ADC1", "ADC2", "ADC3" !
