LIS3MDL Data Registers Not Updating

Hello,

I recently received a LIS3MDL board for evaluation.  After successfully implementing communications over I2C and receiving good data, it recently started misbehaving.  I am unable to read any data from the X, Y, Z, or temperature data registers.  When monitoring any of the XYZ status bits in the status register, none ever reach a set state.  Does anyone have suggestions on where to go from here?
