LPS22HB post solder correction

Hi, I am using the LPS22HB and noticed it was reading significantly off after installation. The datasheet and applications notes really don't address this and a good way to correct for it. Could you look at enhancing your application notes or technical notes for this specific issue and address how the factory calibrates and what a user *should* do to restore accuracy?

Thank you

Bill

    Hi Bill,

One point calibration can be applied to remove the residual offsets after soldering.

It is described in AN4833, Measuring pressure data from ST's LPS22HB digital pressure sensor,

    section 4 Offset compensation.

After soldering, the measured offset can be stored in the RPDS (18h, 19h) registers and automatically subtracted from the pressure output registers: the output pressure register PRESS_OUT (28h, 29h and 2Ah) is provided as the difference between the measured pressure and the content of the register 256*RPDS (18h, 19h) (DIFF_EN = ‘0’, AUTOZERO =‘0’, AUTORIFP= ‘0’).

    Best Regards,
