MEMS Microphone Product Longevity

Does ST have an expect product longevity for the MEMS Microphones?  These products look to be targeted at Consumer Products and there would be a concern of using these in an industrial product that needs a life expectancy of 5 to 15 years??

Dear Gregory,

basically you are rigth, the MEMS microphones are mostly used in the consumer. This not means that microphones life is short...

ST performs life test/ reliability tests to estimate the longevity of our devices. The result is that microphones is qualified to live >10 years.

Alessandro,

Thanks for the information.  I understand that the actual microphones will live past 10 years based on testing.  My question is more on the longevity and roadmap of how long ST plans to manufacture specific part numbers.  Can you tell me if there are specific parts that have a longer Roadmap Life over the other devices and ST's plans on how long they will be manufacturing the existing MEMS part numbers?
