Sensortile.box, USB and Linux issues?

For information only, I don't consider this a big problem, for me.

When the sensortile.box is connected to any USB port to charge the battery, it apparently sets the system into a loop while trying to identify the unit. Logs show 'device descriptor read error....' and 'failed to get pattern....' messages . This loop not only prevents udev access to the USB system but also prevents applications that use USB from starting. Unplugging the sensortile.box breaks the loop and the system returns to normal.

    Hi @TJM , discussing with our SensorTile.box FW experts, the source code doesn't includes that kind of error messages, they have to be generated from Linux. You say they are generated when the ST.box is connected via USB cable, right? Can you please do these two tests?

    • Disconnect the battery from the Sensortile.box (you may have to unscrew the plastic box to do it), plug the USB and check if you still get error messages;
    • Download an application on the ST.box enabling the datastream to USB (via the smartphone app, for example), plug the USB and check if you still get error messages.
