Size and position of Hall Plates in IIS2MDC Magnetometer

Hello

I want to use the IIS2MDC magnetometer in a device which measures magnetic fields that change rapidly as a function of position (e.g. fields with high gradients). For this purpose, I need to know two things which i couldn't find in the datasheet:

  1. The position of the hall plates within the package LGA-12 (Section 9.1 of the datasheet of the IIS2MDC )
  2. The geometrical extent of the hall sensors (for example 250um x 250 um)

Does anyone have this information, it would greatly help me!

Thanks very much

Hi dvarx, ST magnetic sensor is not an hall sensor, but an AMR (anisotropic magnetoresistance) sensor. This is basically a Wheatstone bridge of MR resistors which are located inside the 2x2 package as describer here below.
