STEVAL-BFA001V1B wrong cable description

I wanted to try the STEVAL-IDP005V1 from STEVAL-BFA001V1B,

I followed the description given in UM2438

and nothing worked,

Finally I realized that the cable description is wrong (or may be I've got a bad cable),

the ground is on white, not on blue wire

    your right.

White is GND. The document description is different than actual wiring.

Do you feel lot of heat generated around Accelerometer?

How did you verify this? is it available in the schematics?

yes, I feel heat too, a little warm, but it is normal, I think it is coming from MCU on other side, BR

Are you sure about this? I have

STEVAL-BFA001V1B and it has 4 wires for io link as per the user manual

blue is GND and grey is +VCC (18-24V)

I tried this and I was able to get the mcu and UART to send me the starting message with some details.

You got a bad cable documentation is correct and it is supposed to be the same but you might have faulty cable , wired incorrectly
