I am trying to connect this microcontroller to Unicleo, but on Unicleo it says that it cannot detect any suitable ports. However on the device manager of my windows pc I see that it is connected as a virtual com port. Is there a step that I am missing here? Or is my board not compatible with Unicleo?

unfortunately, Unicleo-GUI doesn't support the STEVAL-STWINKT1B toolkit. So, your statement "Or is my board not compatible with Unicleo?" is correct.
Unicleo-GUI supports other platforms, such as the X-NUCLEO-IKSxxx series, the Sensortile and the Sensortile.box with dedicated firmwares.
