Strange acc values from LSM6DS3

I have several boards with the LSM6DS3 mounted. Some of them (about 50%) work fine, the others show strange results on the acc values. Gyro and temperature seems OK.

The ACC show strange values (0x33db 0xffb9 0x07e4), which results in approx 5G if they lay flat on the table.

I compared all registers, the content seems identical for the good ones and the bad ones. Is there something like a calibration?

We have cleaned the PCBs with ultrasonic in Isopropanol. Might that harm the sensors?

So we have replaced one of the devices and it works fine afterwards. So apparently we have destroyed the device. Any ideas about the root cause?
