Question

The interface firmware FAILED to reset/halt the target MCU FAIL.TXT message on my STEVAL-IDP005V1. How do I fix this?

I have connected STEVAL-IDP005V1 sensor board (it has an STM32F469AI ARM® Cortex®-M4 32-bit MCU on it) to the ST-LINK/V2-1 programmer/debugger on stm32 NUCLEO-F401RE board via an adapter board STEVAL-UKI001V1. When I connect the USB cable to the PC and st-link/v2-1, I see the file 'FAIL.txt' saying 'The interface firmware FAILED to reset/halt the target MCU'.

Can someone help me in fixing this? Thanks in advance

Hi, are you using the STM32 ST-LINK Utility for the debug? If so, you can do a chip erase and re-connect to the target. regards

    Hi @Eleon BORLINI ,

The thing is, the USB drive which is supposed to show me available space of 2MB(as claimed by STEVAL-IDP005V1 sensor board) when I connect it to PC is not showing. I think this is to be fixed first. I tried checking the power management system to see if the power supply is right. Any other Ideas you can give me to first see a 2MB space available to dump the .bin file?

    Thanks in advance,
