When I was doing impact testing, using the 16g range, with my device gently knock on the desktop, the acceleration values read have acceleration values of more than 10g, a bit unbelievable, acceleration reading and conversion are in accordance with In the manual, there should be no problem. When the plane is laid flat, the X and Y axes tend to be 0, and the z axis is about 1G. What causes this?

    What ODR do you use?

If high ODR is used (for example 400Hz) than you are able to capture the acceleration peaks which can be quite high (easily above 10g). The knock generates short impact with high g value, it is normal.
