it is a strange behavior, yes.

But is the chip ID randomly changing? Or is showing a specific pattern variation?

I would first check the correctness of SPI communication: SPI3 mode, 16 bits, Vdd and VddIO less than 3.3V (as described in the datasheet, p. 28).

Could you send the digital pattern of the communication? Maybe it could be an issue related to a wrong shaping of the digital signals due to some parasitic.
