Question

VL53L0X 1.8 I2C and XSHUT

We are running the sensor at 3V but the I2C is 1.8V. Does this mean the XSHUT is also 1.8V referenced. Does the XSHUT pull-up go to 3V or 1.8V?

Thanks

Leon

XShut at 1.8 in your case is correct.

One note... Put those caps as close to the sensor as possible.

It will save you some source of noise.

    John,
thanks. Yes the data sheet is a bit vague but it looked like once you set the I/O to 1.8V then the XSHUT followed as well. That means I can drive it directly from the micro.
    Thanks for the confirmation.
We have been using the sensor for the last year in another product and so far works well. We have 16 in a circle and apart from having to handle all the XSHUT lines implementation was easy. Although I must add I'm the hardware guy. The software guys had a bit of a harder time!
Oh, and I keep the bypass caps as close as possible.
    Cheers
