VL53L0X not soldering all GND pins

Hi, I am considering mounting 

<LINK NO LONGER ACTIVE>

 on the edge of a PCB on a upcoming product to save space.

This would result in PIN 6 and 12 not beeing soldered to GND, what implications would this have?
