Question

VL53L1X Center position Relation to X,Y Coordinates

In the VL53L1X ultra lite driver, VL53L1X_SetROICenter and VL53L1X_GetROICenter treat the ROICenter as a single unsigned 8-bit number. Am I correct in assuming this is a SPAD count starting in the top left corner and progressing in a row fashion across the chip?

If this is the case then why does VL53L1X_SetROI set the center to 199 for ROI over 10 rather than something closer to 127?

Let me change the second part of my question:

If this is the case then why does VL53L1X_SetROI set the center to 199 for ROI over 10 rather than something closer to 120, 121 or 136, 137? The center SPADs in the array.

I wonder the same thing, but I have no answer so far. Could someone confirm this is how the SPADS are numbered?

If that's the case 199 is trully an odd value.
