VL53L1X Dust and Waterproof Protective Material

Is there a way to use the VL53L1X sensor to be dust and water resistant? I watched the Calibration-Free Dirty Environment Cover Glass Solution video and does this protective glass layer also provide water resistance?

The protective glass layer does in fact provides water resistance.

You can build your own, or you can buy it. Both as a separate piece or already integrated with the sensor.

have a look at the app note AN5231. Search for it on the ST web site.

That should give you some good ideas.
