VL6180x ODR

Hi, i don't find the output data rate in the datasheet of the VL6180x proximity sensor. I read only 10Hz in relationship with the current consumption.

What are the ODR settable ?

Hi Stephano,

The data rate is settable and depending on your application. It is done in the application layer handles by the host. You can decide the ranging rate you want. We have used 10 Hz to show the typical consumption of the device.

For example for Auto Focus assist we set it at 33 ms, because typically there are 33 frames per second, we want to have focus on each image if possible. For other applications you may not need to range so fast.
