Question

We are using accelerometer ISM330DLC to find the Motor Frequency, Instead of 800Hz we are getting peak at 2KHz

We are Reading Accelerometer Raw Data from the sensor and plotting FFT on excel sheet

  1. The ODR was configured to 6660(6.66Khz)
  2. Each Time we are reading 256 points of X, Y , Z
  3. Plz find the attachment for more details

The Motor is running at 800Hz we are observing peak at 2KHz . Not sure why we are getting wrong FFT plot .

Can you help why I am getting wrong FFT Plot.

Put your accelerometer close to your PC speaker/phone and play some tones (VOLUME UP) with this https://www.szynalski.com/tone-generator/

Is the FFT matching the PC generated tone?

Thats how i debugg accelerometer and FFTs

    Still the problem repeat .

I am using the tone generator at 440 Hz instead of 440Hz observing peak at 800Hz .

We are Reading Accelerometer Raw Data from the sensor and plotting FFT on excel sheet

    1. The ODR was configured to 6660(6.66Khz)
    2. Each Time we are reading 1024 points of X, Y , Z
    3. Plz find the attachment for more details
    4. Can you let us know the reason why we are not observe a right peak ?

what happens if you reproduce a 220Hz? you observe peak at 400hz?
