Question

What is the Res pin for in the LIS2DH12 MEMS Accelerometer?

The datasheet pin description table Function column simply states “Connect to GND?. Every other pin in the table has their function described, but “Connect to GND? says nothing about its function. Is this a reset pin (active high)? If so, can it be used connected directly to a microcontroller, so we can force a hard reset of the chip?

There is also nothing about it in the application notes.

So, what is the function of this pin?

Any help, greatly appreciated

Res means Reserved, the pin should be connected to GND it doesn't have any functionality.
