Which are the parameters that impact on SNR? Which is the best way to evaluate the SNR?

    This parameter includes both the noise of the MEMS element and the ASIC. Concerning this sum, the main contribution to noise is given by the MEMS sensor, the integrated circuit contribution can be considered negligible.

    As per its definition, the SNR is the ratio between the sensitivity and the residual noise. Hence, given the sensitivity, such parameter is evaluated measuring basically the residual noise level. The goal is achieved by measuring the noise in an  anechoic environment and A-weighting the acquisition. The SNR is the most critical parameter to evaluate among the microphone specifications due to the complexity in reproducing a perfect silent environment, hence it would be helpful to seal the microphone sound inlet (i.e with a tape).
