why the lsm6dso step count is not accurate for slow waking?

I am using the lsm6dso accelerometer

I am setting : Full Scale= 2g, ODR=12.5Hz

for this setting fast waking, step count is not accurate ( 4 steps out of 10 steps)

after that, I changed the setting: Full Scale=2g, ODR= 26Hz

for this slow waking, step-count is not getting

please tell me the accurate calibration settings for getting step count
