With respect to the RHF1401 Rad Hard ADC, what are the impacts to performance and recovery time of analog input overdrive?

Case 1: driving the analog inputs out of range but below the absolute max positive value (eg +2.8V)

Case 2: driving the analog inputs negative sufficiently far to engage the input protection diode (eg current limiting input resistor driven to -7V). What is the input protection diode current handling capability? The intention is to include series resistance on the input to avoid damaging transient overdrive. +2.8V, -7V are the possible transient inputs to Vin and Vinb.
