Hello All,I am trying to decide between these two components and looking at the datasheet they seem pretty identical. Are the sensing elements the same? what is the difference between these two families? Also, looking at the ASM330* there are many versions of this product like: ASM330LHB, ASM330LHBG1, ASM330LHH, ASM330LHHX, ASM330LHHXG. What are the differences between these products ? Thanks,

What is the actual unit (dBV, dBSPL etc.) for the plot? dB is not relative to Volt or anything. 

I am currently using the LSM6DSO32X sensor on a custom board. I want to connect a custom board to the Unico GUI tool and utilize its features. Is it possible? If possible, how can I achieve that?thank you

Hi team,I am using STEVAL-MKBOXPRO with expert mode. I created a sensor fusion feature through expert mode. But I couldn't upload to the tile box. I tired many times but BLE not worked. 

The ASM330 does not generate correct 4D tilt/orientation interrupt at higher rotational speeds of 200 RPMIt is configured for 4D Tilt detection with highest ODR and highest RangeIs there any rotational speed limit beyond which 4D orientation will not work?How to resolve the issue? Is there any specific filter settings to be used or ODR to be configured to resolve this?

Hello ST Community,I'm currently evaluating a project that requires accurate roll and pitch measurements under light to medium acceleration, preferably in quaternions. I initially tried the BNO085 sensor with its integrated sensor fusion processor, but was unhappy with its accuracy and repeatability, falling short of my 0.1 degrees target.To explore ST's offerings, I used a Nucleo-F401RE in conjunction with the IKS01A3. For data visualization, I relied on the Unicleo-GUI to display the Dynamic Inclination data from the board (using the X-CUBE-MEMS1 software package and MotionDI middleware -> DynamicInclinometer example). I tested this setup with both the magnetometer enabled and disabled, aiming to minimize reliance on the mag moving forward. However, I found both configurations delivered similar results, which suggests the magnetometer may not be a deciding factor for the sensor fusion algorithm to correct the shortcomings of the accelerometer and gyro.The measurement accuracy and

Hey folks,I've fabricated a little PCB to glue an LSM9DS1 to an ESP32-S3. As far as I can see, the ESP32 is sending the correct signals but the LSM9DS1 isn't returning anything useful. Here's what I get when I try to read 0x0F, the WHOAMI register, from both the accel/gyro and magnetometer. Signals are CS, SDI, SPC, SDO, in that order:As you can see, SDI shows 0x8F and SDO shows 0xFF while the master is sending but 0x00 while the master is receiving.This is really weird to me because it tells me that the SPI communication is working but the slave device is responding with 0x00.What on earth might cause this? As far as I can tell, the signals match the datasheet specification pretty much exactly. At the moment my leading theory is that the ICs I got are counterfeit. The PCB was ordered assembled through JLCPCB, which uses LCSC. If it means anything, the IC is marked 2108 9S1 23BOE:Here's my schematic as well:

Hello,We are currently in the process of developing firmware for a device that contains the STHS34PF80 IR Sensor.At present, we have decided to use the continuous mode of this sensor, and we would like to seek clarification on its behavior under certain conditions.The current flow of our device firmware is as follows:1. STHS init2. STHS continous mode with given frequency3. Check DRDY bit4. If DRDY then read FUNC_STATUS registerPoints 3 and 4 are enclosed within a while loop.We have observed that when the frequency of the continuous mode is set to a higher range, such as 15-30Hz, the sensor functions correctly. It promptly detects the presence and motion of objects, and when an object is removed from the sensor's field of view, the presence and motion flags are cleared almost instantly.However, when we set a lower frequency, such as 1-2Hz, we notice a significant delay in the detection of presence and motion. Hello!I am trying to create a program where I send motion sensor's data via BLE using evaluation board STEVAL-STWINKT1B. For that, I have used as a guide the firmware example on the board's website (https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-stwinkt01.html#get-software -- using example project BLE-SampleApp). The problem I am having is that once I start to manipulate the example project (I need to work with motion sensors, not with environmental ones) I start getting a lot of errors I don't really understand. Anybody has a solution or has had a similar problem as I have? I just need a project that reads the motion sensors every XX ms and sends the raw data through BLE. The central device I am going to read the data from is a Raspberry Pi 4B (all the other options the firmware example has wouldn't be necessary).Thank you!

Hi team,I used algo builder(Version 3.2.0.4544) and tried to store ACC ,Gyro and other sensor values in SD card. I can see the sensor values in User Messages window(Unicleo GUI), but that data not stored in SD card. Kindly help to store the data in SD.

Hello,We are currently in the process of developing a device that contains the STHS34PF80 IR sensor. After study of the datasheet and conducting our own tests, we have found that the sensor reliably detects a person within a 4-meter range. However, for our project requirements, we need an extended detection range of 10 meters.We understand that one way to achieve this goal is to use appropriate lenses to enhance the sensor's capabilities. We would greatly appreciate your recommendations on which lenses would be suitable for extending the range of the STHS34PF80 sensor to meet our specific needs.

Hello everyone,after some time that I use the sensor, it gives me back a temperature value of 0 °C.I'm using a library taken from github that I adapted to work with the STM32F407 microcontroller (can't post the link).The sensor works well but sometimes (not always) it "fails" and gives me back the value 0 °C. To "fix" it I have to reboot the whole system. Can anyone give me an explanation? Why is this happening?I use STM32F407 microcontroller.Thank you.

I'm currently using STEVAL-MKI231KA kit connected to STEVAL-MKIGIBV5 which is plugged into a standard DIL24 socket of STEVAL-MKI109V3. I'm trying to use the STHS34PF80 sensor but every time I get the following error: The WHO_AM_I register value does not match the device selected. I have also tried upgrading the firmware in MKI109V3 board but still no change in the error.Details related to connection are as follows:Jumper J7, J13, J14 are shorted on STEVAL-MKI109V3.Unico version = 9.16.0.0Firmware Version =  V3.58.2 

Hi,I am using the LSM6DSO32X(in STEVAL-MKI197V1) sensor on the STEVAL-MKI109V3 board.There is no external sensor.I see and follow the Datasheet, but the Gyro Data does not come out and the external sensor value comes out.I used Easy Configuration in the Unico GUI.No matter how shaking, it doesn't come out.What is this problem? 

Hello everyone,I am an engineer at an EMS, and one of our clients has reported an issue related to the use of the HTS221TR sensor. Our client has observed that some of their boards, on which this sensor is mounted, have been exposed to projections of a product (specifically, wine) during their usage, resulting in inaccurate measurements.Our boards are coated to prevent any degradation during their use, with the exception of the HTS221TR sensor.I would like to seek your expertise on two points:Impact of contact with wine on the sensor: Can contact with wine be considered potentially destructive for the HTS221TR sensor?Possibility of cleaning the sensor: In the event of exposure to wine, is there a recommended procedure for cleaning the sensor? Hello,I would like to increase the sample rate of a SparkFun LSM6DSO which is controlled by the ESP32 Thing Plus C microcontroller (I am using the Arduino IDE and said libraries).I tried using the function LSM6DSO::setAccelDataRate() and LSM6DSO::setGyroDataRate(), to no avail. I cannot get faster than 110-140 Hz.I've been reading the sensor documentation and data sheet, and I have no unnecessary time delays or print statements in my loop. What can I do to sample quicker?Thank you!
