Hello Ladies and Gents,I have following Problem with my App:The Scanrate from given Timer can be in min. 10ms. These ist f=1/0,010=100Hz. So If I configure the Lis2dh to normal or Highres Mode I have a f=1.344 KHz Anybody have an Idea how to increase/decrease the Scanrate to geht all the values of interval?Also I'm bind to USB and the Transactiondelay from max 500ms. Stv

I am looking to set up the STHS34PF80 on the STEVAL-MKI109V3 board. I have tried configuring the PresenceDetection mems application. I measured 0 current on jumper 13 and no voltage on STHS34PF80. Are there any tips or suggestions for setting up the STHS34PF80 mems sensor on the MKI109V3 eval board?Thanks

I'm currently using MEMS MP34DT06JTR audio sensor with STM32L431KBU6TR Mcu. I'm facing issue in receiving PDM data through SAI/I2S. I have connected one microphone to SAI Block-1 and the L/R pin is grounded. I'm attaching the main.c file and the configuration I used for SAI Block below for reference. Also I've attached sai_data.png which shows the result I'm getting currently.      

LIS3MDL issues.Issue #1 - There are two 8-bit registers for temperature, and the datasheet says it's two complement, but I don't see any further description of the contents. Is it fixed point 8.8 or is there some division or offset that needs to be done to get it into degrees Celsius?Issue #2 - I'm using I2C. When I read all the magnetic registers and the temperature registers (registers 0x28-0x2F) one byte at a time I get a set of magnetic and temperature readings. If I split it into an a 6-byte I2C operation to get the magnetic numbers (registers 0x28-0x2D) and a 2-byte I2C operation to get the temperature (registers 0x2E-0x2F), I get the same numbers, good so far. However, if I read those 8 registers in one I2C operation the temperature bytes come out the same as the X-axis magnetic bytes. If there some type of roll-over that I can't read the magnetic data and the temperature at the same time?

Hello,I am using the LSM6DSOWTR sensor in a wearable device for step counting.As it's known, the LSM6DSO series features an advanced pedometer, step detector, and step counter.I'm observing many steps counted even when the user is not moving (false positives), and I'm comparing the counted steps with other market wearables (twice as other devices).The False-Positive Rejection feature is enabled for better results (PEDO_CMD_REG).The Pedometer Debounce Threshold is set to 50 to avoid false step detections (PEDO_DEB_STEPS_CONF).Despite the high value of the debounce threshold, I have noticed that in resting situations where the user is stationary (e.g., during office work or sleeping), the IMU counts quite a few false positive steps.I have thoroughly read the LSM6DSO datasheet and the AN5192 document.In section 6.1 of AN5192, Pedometer Functions: Step Detector and Step Counter, it mentions the operation of the pedometer functions, but I would like to clarify the following details:How can

HelloWe use a LIS2DW12 accelerometer to mesure tilt over a temperature range from -25°C to +70°C.We set the full scale to 2g and chose High Performance mode with Low Noise enabled.We want an accuracy of 0.5°, but we're observing a drift of the order of 40 mg on measured accelerations as a function of temperature (from 15° to 75°C), resulting in a drift of more than 2° on the tilt measurement.We want to correct the accelerations as a function of temperature, and so we have the following questions.- Is the drift the same on all 3 axes?- The data sheet states that the 0g offset drift is 0.2mg/°C, but according to our measurements this is not linear. Hi guys,   I met a SPI communication issue about LIS331DL. The type of kit board is MKI153. When I tied VDDIO and VDD to 3.3V, the data from chip register by SPI isn't correct. When I only connect VDD to 3.3v, The data  is correct.     The register is WHO_AM_I and CTRL_REG1.      Tie vddio and vdd together:   WHO_AM_I register value = 0x20    CTRL_REG1 = 0x06    In this case: vddio & vdd = 3.3v    Only connect VDD:  WHO_AM_I register value = 0x32    CTRL_REG1 = 0x07    In this case: vdd = 3.3v.  vddio is around 2.5v (vddio pin is floating)    Pls see attached pictures. I can't understand this issue. Could you check it? Thanks!   

I am using STM32L452RE Nucleo Board and LIS25BA module.I2C works fine. I wish to get accelerometer data through TDM now. I am unable to do so. For now, I am using polling mode. Dear @Eleon BORLINI​ ,I’m currently using the I2S peripheral to acquire from a digital microphone.The I2S is configured as:24bits on 32bit data frame22kHz sampling frequencyand the pdm library is correctly configured and I’m able to convert a single sample (uint16 m) at a time and stream it. The pdm buffer is 16 (uint16) used as circular buffer by the dma.My question is where is the relation between the 24bits in 32bit data frame and the pcm converted sample, which is always on 16bits (uint16). Am I loosing precision in this way?I don’t see any difference in setting the i2s with 24/32 on 32bit data frame since I’m only obtaining 16bit pcm samples. is there some configuration that I’m missing? Could it be the pInternalMemory[…] variable in the pdm configuration struct?thanks a lot

Hi,I have STEVAL-MKI109v3 board and steval-mki186v1 sensor. I have connected the sensor to the board and if I connect the board to my laptop, the laptop is not able to detect the COM port of the board which is connected. It is not detecting the board in Unico-GUI also. If I connect the board the power led (D6) is ON and also the D1 LED (green LED) is blinking. But it is not detecting in my laptop. My laptop currently runs on Windows 10. I also tried installing the driver on a windows 7 laptop and tried connecting the board but still the same. Please help !

Hello ,I followed this tutorial for lsm6dsv16x.However, I cannot see StMicroelectronics Virtual COM Port after downloading STSW-LINK009. Besides, I could not match dfuse devices  

Use the cubeProgram tool to burn the MPU, whether the USB of the MPU must use USB-OTG mode? 

I am using a LIS3DH and I have configured a threshold interruption and it is consuming around 3mA while the interrupt is active. I have very strict power constraints and this consumption make it unreliable.I am using the driver implemented in Zephyr and it have all configuration from the interrupt exactly as advised in the datasheet, the INTx_SRC is read after a interrupt to clear it and the interrupt is cleared, although the interrupt only is pulled down after a new sample. It is possible to be noticed in the attached file that it takes around 20 ms to put the interrupt to 0. It matches with the sampling period that is 20ms (freq 50Hz).Why does LIS3DH consumes so much power for keeping the interrupt ON? And is it right to be waiting a new sample to be able to turn down the interrupt?Is it a problem from LIS3DH or am I missing some config?Best regards

Posted on December 04, 2017 at 08:07Good day allMy LIS2DH12  seems to lock up or stops responding, it is connected to STM32L152 which is set to go into STOPMODE and wakes on interrupt. An I/O pin is configured as an  external interrupt and connected to INT1 of the LIS2DH12. When the LIS2DH12 is Tilted the interrupt wakes up the processor and a buzzer sounds.I have build 15 units and they all seem to randomly stop working. Some of the units run 1-5minutes before it locks up and the interrupt pin stops toggling when moved,  a few units will run a few hours, others may run 2-3 days. but eventually they all lock up. At this stage i am uncertain if its hardware or software. My setup code is as follows (included are also other setups I have tried while i was experimenting ). To my understanding, once the LIS2DH12 is setup it should toggle the interrupt as long as power is applied to the chip irrespective of the processor it is connected to. CODE :// setup

I'm using STEVAL-STWINKT1 (MCU STM32L4R9ZIJ6) and I'm trying to communicate with the motion sensors (ISM330DHCX, IIS3DWB, IIS2DH) by SPI3 interface (polling). I wrote a code very similar to that one present in the "Serial_DataLog" project, using HALs (I'm using STM32CubeIDE and STM32CubeMX generated code). I am successfully running with four FSMs and the SFLP as well as many of the embedded functions like tilt detect and activity/inactivity detect. For the latter, I have tested using SLPMODE3 where the accel is placed in LP1 mode at 1.875 Hz and the gyro is powered down.  What happens to the FSM and SFLP when the gyro is powered down (at least one of the FSM require gyro data) or the accel ODR is well below the specified SFLP ODR (15 Hz) or FSM ODRs (30 Hz)?I find that the program works as expected. That is, I see interrupts for the FSM programs and I see quaternion data from the SFLP when active. When inactive I do not, as expected. And then again, when activity resume, I see the expected behavior (SFLP quaternions and FSM interrupts). So do I not have to explicitly de-activate the FSM programs or SFLP? Is this handled automagically somehow?I ask partly because I see 14.75 uA power usage when inactive, all of which is accounted for such that I have to surmise and infer that the SFL

Hello, I have received the STEVAL-STWINBX1 evaluation kit and am trying different demos to see how it works. At first I was programming the board with different examples (STM32CubeFunctionPack_STBOX1_V1.5.0) but I was having problems afterwards. Once the programming was done, I was trying to connect to the board via BLE Sensor App but my board didn't appear until I pressed RESET. Then, I read an issue on this community where a user was having a similar problem and the solution was to program the binary file on Bank 2 (Start address: 0x08100000). The problem still persists but now, once I connect the board to my computer, the computer doesn't detect it and the only LED blinking is LED_C. I don't know what to do, because I can't reset the board and I can't connect it to the computer either to program it again... Any suggestions?

We have used PM8805 tr POE PD IC. And design is very similar to one of the evolution board. Its not showing any LED for T0, T1, T2. It looks like its just in the negotiation stage. Hi,I am just starting to use the MotionFX libraries; currently 6DOF, Accel/Mag samples at 100Hz; both propogate and update are being called at that 100Hz rate.At a rate of 10Hz I spit out the quaternions to a quaternion viewer. All seems to be reasonable other that some of directions of rotations seem to be opposite to what I expect; this might be axes mapping related or even in the viewer; I have not checked. I am running with the library default knobs; library version is V2.8.0 6th March 2023.The more worrying issue is that with my dev board stationary I occasionally see a sporadic rotation of the device; I have caught this on video; the rotation occurred at approx 8 mins of being stationary.We are going to check raw sensor and quaternion data to check for any anomalies; but I just wondered if anyone else had seen similar issues? 

In my system that found the heading angle using the LIS3MDL sensor, the maximum error value was 3 degrees using the ellipsoid calibration method. Also, although I used the sensor in low noise mode, I saw that the data in Matlab graphics was very wavy and noisy.What is the accuracy value of the LIS3MDL sensor? What should I expect the max and average values to be? And what can I do to reduce noise?Thanks for your help

I have a steval-mki193a1. I tried to connect it with nordic nrf52-dk by I2C. However, the sensor cannot be successfully detected by the nordic nrf52-dk board. How can I make them communicate successfully so that I can get the sensor data on computer? Thank you. 

I'm a big fan of STMicro and have used several of their Dev and Eval boards with no issues.A couple of weeks ago I got an email from ST about the new module. I looked at the videos and ordered one right away because I wanted to get it in time for the Webinar. The webinar was a disaster; way too much information with no time to take any notes. I figured I'd just watch it at my leisure later on but it was taken down in a couple of hours. So I started again with the Entry Mode video. The website said to download the ST BLE Sensor App which I did. The dice demo worked perfectly. At 1:10 into the video it said "Switch the box on and open the ST BLE Sensor Classic App on your phone" So I downloaded that and was able to follow the video then at 2:42 in the video it says to "Click on the Play button", I had to wait for a bit to scan for my board and then I clicked play. At 2:55 On the Overwrite board warning display I clicked OK. And then got "Error Board scanning has timed out. Exit the App a
