BlueNRG-LP: Recently (Feb 2022), you have released the Evaluation Tool STEVAL-IDB011V2. The BLE-RF-output has been CHANGED compared to STEVAL-IDB011V1 (now NRND)

Is the modified RF-output filtering better in terms of EMI for FCC or CE-certification?

The new filtering in V2 consists of two filtering stages and replaces one integrated filter 2400-2500 MHz.

What is the reason for this change and why did you set STEVAL-IDB011V1 to "not recommended for new design"?

    Welcome, @WLech.1, to the community!

    the performance is the same.

As indicated in UM2735, section 2.1, STEVAL-IDB011V2 differs from its predecessor STEVAL-IDB011V1 in only two details:

    • U2 (integrated filter in V1) replacement with discrete components (in V2) and
    • CN7 replacement with a 1x4 footprint

    Does it answer your question?

    Regards

    /Peter

    Hi Peter,

Yes - thank you for your quick response.

I take both filtering solutions as equal!
