can I replace C167CR with ST168?

    hello

    I have a target board of infineon C167cr-Lm ,it work correctly . now I replace C167 with the ST168 . and it can't enter the bootloader mod.

    could you give me some advice . thank you.

    Even so the parts are very similar, they are not identical and some care should be taken when replacing.

    I recommend to check the following document page 248 and to compare with infineon similar documentation.

    You should also be careful regarding pin Vpp/RPD (refer to this discission:

    finally find enclosed a related application note, knowing that ST10R167 and ST10F168 are fully compatible (except for the program memory)
