Convert existing RS232-communication to USB

We have projects with RS232-communications from our hardware to PC. Now we create new hardware with STR710-processor and we would like to use USB insread of RS232. Is there an easy way, to modify the old software for this?

What have I to do, when I simply want to communicate from a PC to our hardware?

Hi,

I have ULINK and that is all ok. I'm speaking from the communication on target to PC. I have to write software for new hardware with STR710, that will communicate over integrated USB. I'm looking for software-examples to use USB.
