Defuse 3.0.6 – Instability and Timeout Issues

Hello,

I’m currently facing issues with Defuse 3.0.6 after migrating my system from Windows 7 to Windows 10.

On Windows 7, everything worked smoothly. However, since the migration, the application has become unstable. Sometimes it works, but intermittently I receive timeout messages, and the process fails unexpectedly.

I’m working with a firmware file of approximately 13 MB, which was handled without any problems before. Now, Defuse seems to struggle with it under Windows 10.

Could you please advise if there are known compatibility issues with Windows 10 or if there are recommended settings or updates to improve stability?

Thank you for your support.

    Welcome @adnene07, to the community!

A little tip: forums usually have a search function for such questions that were asked many years ago. The Community also has something like this and a search for „dfuse 3.0.6“, for example, produces this result.

    Hope that helps?

    Regards

    Dear @adnene07 ,

Can you let us know your Hardware device ? And which implementation are you using for the MCU . As transferring a 13MBytes is for sure an external memory like old SPI Flash or something like . So not using internal bootloader for an STM32 or STR7/STR9 legacy devices . As far as I know there is no issue with DFUse driver on windows 10 and working perfectly - so may be your implementation of timeout in a IAP / DFU like should be adjusted . any screenshots are helpful .

    Ciao
