Distance with ST7538

I'm tryng to develop a system based on ST7538. I'm in trouble with distance between master station and slave.

a) Is there any way to simulate distance in power line ?

b) Which the problems in power lines ?

c) Shall I comunicate over 1 Km with power line ?

How are you trying to communicate? Are you using the SPI or the UART peripheral? Which baud rate would you like to select?

The st7538's communication distance is 4-6km

Hi,

I see a distance of a few hundred meters but with two entities only. As soon as there are more entities on the same network I only get 10-20m.

E.g. with 30 entities have a max distance of 15 meters. My system is based on 24VAC though, so maybe those values are different for 220VAC.
