please guide me to find an app note/example on using the emi interface with str710.

Hi,

You can refer to this earlier

for a flash device...

I later found out more; try the AN1200, software driver for the flash memories (on eval boards)

Well, live and learn...

Also, if a simple interface to a RAM device is what you are trying to do, you could just see the examples usually given with the libraries.
