Hi, I'm using STMDT10-DVP3 and STVD7 3.1.1 to emulate ST7LITE29. When I select FOSC: EXTERNAL the following message appears on screen: ''GDI Error: [10255]''. I have an external 8MHz qrystal connected to OSC1 and OSC2. Whats wrong?

    Regards

    Hi,

When you want to use an external clock you must connect TTL clock signal between EXTCLK pin and GND (see figure 8 of ST7DVP3 user manual attached). The development kit doesn't use the application Crystal connected on OSC1/OSC2 because flat rebbon capacitors can disturb oscillator.

But if you want to use 8MHz frequency you can select it directly with menu: Debug instrument > MCU configuration > Option and chose 8MHz.

    With best regards,
