    I know the Philips LPC2106 has very slow GPIO. Is the STR711 faster? My application may need to use bit-bang i/o.

    If MCLK, PCLK1, PCLK2 all are 48MHz, what will be the execution speed of a string of STR instructions writing to GPIO?

    What if MCLK is 48MHz and PCLK1,PCLK2 are both 12MHz?

    Will it be faster if the code is executed from sram instead of flash?

    Thanks for the quick reply. The Philips chip took something ridiculous like 10 cycles!
