How to identify the first pin of ST ICs(such as M95640 memory chip) with SO packaging(SO8N, etc.)

the chip of ST is different from traditional manufacturers that use circular dot or gap to distinguish the first pin of the IC. I cannot find the information in datasheet or the topics. Anyone can give me some information? thanks very much
