Hi all, This is my first foray into STM products.

So far I have learned that their web site is horrendously organized.

I need to know how to program a STP16C596 LED driver through its serial input.

I could not find the information on STM's web site, but I did find a link to this forum.

Can anyone here point me in the right direction?

    Thanks,

    -BugZapper

    Hi, Coucou.

    The information is not there.

I could only find the DATA SHEET on STM's website.

The data sheet does not contain any information about how to communicate with the driver through its serial port.

I want to interface the LED driver with a microcontroller and in order to do that I need specific details of the serial communication protocol that will enable me to tell the chip which of the output pins I want to be set high.

If that information is available on the STM website then it is well hidden.

I appreciate that you took the time to reply, but the link you provided is to the data sheet.

Do you know where I can find information about how to program a STP16C596?

    Thanks,

    -Alexander
