M24512RP Vs M24512RT

Hi, I am having issue using a M24512RP in the exact same place as a M24512RT (I am talking of marking code on the chip). I2C EEPROM.

From the datasheet it seems that 'T' suffixe is used to identify packing which would make sense for an ordering code, but not a marking code ?

Am I missing something are they supposed to be 100% compatible ?

T = Tape and reel packing

P or G = Lead-Free and RoHS compliant

regards,
