main VR OFF issue and power consumption of STDBY at V18bkp

    I have two more questions about power management.

    1. as stated on page 75 of user manual v4, “the PLL is automatically disabled when….�

    So, if we use our own external 1.8v source and turn off the Main VR,

    that will cause PLL off and limit the max. operating frequency to 1 MHz ?

    It doesn’t make sense to turn off the PLL if we use external 1.8v source..

    2. If we use V18bkp for Standby mode voltage source with RTC on,

    what's the power consumption measured at V18bkp under Standby mode ?

    The power consumption listed in datasheet seems to be measured at V33 that is not what we want.

    Thanks, RISC !

    If STR7's core is under power down, not in STDBY mode, which means we don't supply v33 to it but just provide V18bkp to keep RTC active, I'd like to know the power consumption of RTC.

    Specifically speaking, I'd like to know how long it can last if we use a backup battery for RTC. So, I need the power consumption of RTC through V18bkp.

    I have the same question: what's the power consumption of standby at V18BKP?

    Can i use 3.3V battary to supply 1.8V for V18BKP pin and 3.3V for V33 pin when str71x is in STANDBY mode?
