    Hi,

are there some max-write cycles to write data into the EEPROM. Someone told me, that the write cycles are limited because the adressed memory cell can get fail after a lot of write cycles. I would use the EEPROM to save severals data i.e. run time, last operator choice and so on.

I couldn't find anything about max write cycles in the data sheet.

    Who knows about this?

    Thank's for your help.

Yes,there is a limit on the write cycles to write data into EEPROM.The Maximum write cycle limit is 300K (minimum) and 1 million cycles(typical).

When the datasheet states maximum number of write cycles, is this maximum number of write cycles on a particular cell, or page or per device.

In my application i wanted to increase the maximum number of write cycles by distributing the write over a number of eeprom locations. Will this work?

The guaranteed write/erase cycles specificed by the datasheet is for each EEPROM cell.

Yes, you can increase the maximum number of write cycles by distributing the write over a number of eeprom locations.
