    Hi,

I don't understand what's the status of this part:

    1. the ''UM0216 Reference manual'' document from ST is marked with ''Obsolete product(s)''

    2. when I go to the product page (http://www.st.com/mcu/devicedocs-STR912FW44-101.html) and I click on either the ''Generic Part Number'' (STR912FW44) or the ''Orderable Part Number'' (STR912FW44X6) I'm redirected to an invalid page.

    3. on the other hand, some STR912 chips are stocked at DigiKey and Mouser (the Mouser stock is >1000 parts).

As I'm doing a new design that will probably be sold in hundreds of pieces, I need to know exactly what to expect.

    Thanks,

    Bogdan

    Hi,

The STR91xF is now obsolete and we only ship the STR91xFA.

The document below describes at the system level the feature enhancements and silicon fixes incorporated in the new STR91xFA devices, compared to the original STR91xF devices. It also describes what are the impacts when the STR91xF is replaced with the STR91xFA in your design.

    May this help.

    Kind regards,

    Eris.
