problems to install STVPTD on XP machine

    I have just installed visual debug ver. 2.5.4 but when i start the debug it does not work and display this error message: connection error (LPT1) : gdi-error in dvp: communicator error

    can you help me??

    hi friul,

    i use STVD7 development kit and the board is ST7MDT1/MDT5-DVP2 kit board.

    OS is HP professional ver. 2002 SP1

    Hi lino,

    Are you using this on a laptop?

    What parallel port mode is set in your BIOS?

    HI MD,

    thanks in advance for your reply, i changed the parallel port set but the wrong go on.

    I resolved my problem in this bad way: i format hard _disK and re-install windows XP and then STVD7. I don't known what is the difference but now the system work!!
