    We have not the money for a JTAG-programmer, so we are looking for a software for programming the upsd without such a JTAG-Link.

    We want to connect the pins from the parallel interface directly with the coresponding pins from the upsd!

    Does such a program exist?

    Look in the Flashlink user manual, the schematic for the parallel/jtag dongle is there.

    Its not hard to build, just a few bits of logic. I would not recommand directly connecting the parallel port to the jtag pins, unless you don't like your parallel port. You a least need a 74HC244 for protection.
