Hi, I am new programming ST7 microcontrollers. I want to program the ST7FLITE29 whit the ST7MDT10-EPB programmer through ICC connector but I get the following message:

    Hardware configuration set to .

Blank check before programming (when available) is OFF

    Verify after programming is ON.

Clear memory before loading a file is ON.

Erase device memory before programming (when available) is OFF

Display a popup window when an error occurs is ON.

    Log activity is OFF

    > Reading PROGRAM MEMORY area... Error : Cannot communicate with the device ! Option Bytes are Enabled on the device Check the ICC cable connection and check all the needed pin connections on the ICP connector Try the other programming mode:'ICP OPT Disable' in order to check the Options Bytes on the device (Clock Source,PLL,LVD) compare to the application configuration

I have the following connection: attachment

Could you help me whit this little problem?

    Hi,

If you are using the STVP7 programmer, do the following:

go to configure -> configure ST visual programmer

    Ensure the ST7MDT10-EPB is selected

Ensure the LPT port is correct

select ICP OPT DISABLE for programming mode.

    This should work now.

with the OPT enabled, the clock mode could be incorrect or the WDG may be operating.

both of these may prevent programming.

    hope this helps

    Simon

    Hi

You must connect VDD to ICC connector pin 7. ST7MDT10-EPB needs this VDD as voltage reference. Then, as you have not connected ICC connector clock (pin 9), you must use ICP OPT Enable. If you want to use ICP OPT Disable you must connect clock from ICC connector pin 9 to ST7-OSC1. But, for ST72FLITE29, it is better to do not connect this ICC-clock and to use ICP OPT enable.
