Do you have the electronic version of this manual?

If so, could you send me this file?

    Thanks :)

SOMEONE from ST Could help us!

Just saying WHY can´t we use input filter and high sensitivity at the same time...

Detail: This info is NOT in the product datasheet :-Y :-Y :-Y

    Good weekend to all! :D

    Rafael,

That one it is not an absolute sentence it is a suggestion…

The pre-filter introduces an additive noise and if you set the high sensitivity at the same time you can incur in the risk to demodulate noise.

    Hi There, Peppe!

    Good to hear from you!

    Are you from ST?

    Are you expert in ST7538?

    :)

If so... Do you have a suggestion of a scenario for simulationg long transmissions?

Let me be more clear: How can I set up an environment in wich 1 meter distance between 2 ST7538 equipments is equivalent in impedance and signal strength to 10 meters in a real power line distrubution line?

    Thanks in advance...

    Hi guys,

can you tell me if you used main zero crossing detection and syncronization and what are the result? The result are better with ZC? Can you tell me for what is Op-Amplificator (C-PLUS,C-MINUS..), the schematic you used.....

    Thank's

    Hi guys...

I am NOT using the ZC synchronization because of two reasons:

    1) need for more external components, increasing the cost;

    2) not a great advantage on transmitting at ZC.

As far as I know there are some Power Line protocols on witch communication is based at the ZC, but I don't understand HOW could be ST7538 used on these protocols.

The integrated op-amp can be used for anything you want!

I am using for power fault detection, so, this way I can save one op-amp in my system.

The power fault detection is simple. Make two voltage dividers using resistors, one will be at the VDC output of 7538, another at the voltage regulator input you have in your system. The op-amp output can trigger an interrupt in your processor, so, this way you can make some data saving. just befor energy fault. :-]

    Hi there, people!

Does someone have the exact power consumption of ST7538?

The manual says something about 50mArms with no load. and maximum total current of 370mArms. Is this with load or with no load?

    Hi Rafael,

Maximum total current (370mArms) is with load (a load about 10 ohm).

    Hello flo 123,

I recently started working on the ST7538 together with MSP430F156. I saw on the ST7 discussion group that you have implemented a communication routine for those two devices. It would be great if you could send me a copy of that software.

    Regards

    Hi Reny,

Sorry for my time response :(

Please send me your email and then I send you

my routine and we can talk about them.
