PSD8xx and non-multiplexed micro - Help with lcd interface

    I am having trouble getting a non-multiplexed micro (68HC11F1) with a PSD853 to interface with a lcd. I can get my code (with basic changes) to work using a multiplexed micro (68HC11D0) with the PSD and the lcd, so I am sure I am just overlooking something simple with the non-multiplexed setup.

    I am using the same data lines to connect the micro, PSD, and lcd. I have dropped the timing down to make sure that it was not to fast for the lcd. Using on-board Chip Select from PSD and using the E signal as the logical qualifier in PSDsoft. Using one pin to act as the register select.

    Help anyone....please!!!
