    Hi all,

I have to bother you one more time with questions about the readout protection byte.

    Basis:

A blank ST7Flite25 is first time programmed with STVP 1.9.1 in the DIL20 socket , on the ST7MDT10-EPB eval board.

The option byte: readout protection is set ON.

Is it possible to ever reprogramme it, with above tools ?

    1. When using the internal RC oscillator in the final application ?

    2. When using an external crystal in the final application ?

If so - how ( step by step please )?

Any other tools making this possible ?

    Regards,

    Tomas

Yes, you can reprogramme the read out protection option bytes.

    Procedure is :

    1. First using STP7, first program the option bytes with Read out protection setting - OFF.

    2. Step1 will also erase your program memory(the STP7 1.9.1 does n't erase the internal RC calibration values). Reprogram your program your memory.

    3. Now, you can reprogram the desired/new option bytes.

    Hi Jatin,

fast and accurate as always !

By misstake earlier I tried to set the option byte OFF, but I used ''program all tabs'' instead of ''program current tab''.

That's the way is goes for an OTP-oldie coming from ST62....

    Many thanks !

    Best regards,

    Tomas
