I'm looking for a replacement for a transistor. Naming on the transistor is

ST MRC BULK128DB W7R426

I think it's discontinued. It's in a starter for fluorescent lighting which is probably around 12 years old.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I have the same issue for the same light and I'm looking also for the transistor replacement. I find this link with several reference replacement :

    https://alltransistors.com/crsearch.php?mat=Si&struct=NPN&pc=75&ucb=700&uce=400&ueb=9&ic=5&tj=150&hfe=10&caps=TO220&cf=on

    Hope that can help.

This SOT-82 housing (max width 7.8mm, pitch 2.2mm) has unfortunately been obsolete for a long time. Only the IPAK (TO-251) fits directly:

The next, slightly wider package in the STMicroelectronics portfolio is the TO-220 or TO-220FP (max width 10.4mm, pitch 2.54mm). If you can fit it in, you should take a look at:

    Hope that helps?

    Good luck!
