Set counter to different reset value than 0xFFFC

    Hi!

    The reference manual (STR71x) says, that writing to the counter register (TIMn_CNTR) the counter is reset to the FFFCh value.

    Does that mean, independent from the data written to this register, it is reset to the same value (FFFCh)?

    Is it possible to define another reset value?

    I would like to get an interrupt each ms from the counter/ timer.
