ST10F276 vs. XC167

We are considering the migration from the ST10F269 to the ST10F276. Comparing the support for the 276 to the one enjoyed by the XC167 user community, I wonder if the ST10F276 is really the choice for a long term engagement.

Why isn't there a dependable manual available ? :-[

Why is there such a scant number of application notes ?

What support can we expect for a first project ?

For the C167 there exists the ''Dave'' Configuration Software from Infineon, which covers the ST10F269 quite adequately. Will there ever be

something similar from ST ?

Did someone face the same doubts before migrating and resolve them somehow ?
