ST72F324 EMC issues

    I am running an ST72F324 with an external 16MHz crystal and need this speed for performing complex alogrithms.

    The problem is that during EMC testing there are peaks at harmonics of 16MHz which are over the limit, that I'm sure are coming from the ST7.

    I am using a 2 layer board with ground plane and close decoupling. Would I benifit using the PLLx2 and a 4MHz crystal to reduce these peaks or are there other things I can do
